Self-Learning 3-Phase RSGT Series Soft Starters for Motors up to 75Hp / 55kW

Carlo Gavazzi is excited to introduce the new RSGT Series Soft Starters, an easy-to-use product range for AC 3-phase induction motors up to 75Hp / 55kW. To maximize the ease of use without compromising performance, only three settings are required (FLC, ramp-up, ramp-down). The self-learning algorithm adjusts the soft starter’s parameters to work with different applications and varying load conditions.

The integration of a Class 10 electronic overload provides advanced motor protection and results in further space savings in the electrical panel. Phase sequence protection, overload function, and dry run function can easily be enabled or disabled through the front located TEST/RESET push button.

Additionally, the RSGT Series is equipped with a Modbus/RTU communication port with a 2-wire RS485 connection, allowing the user to have easy and complete real-time monitoring of the product.

Main technical features include:

  • RSGT40 (Up to 440VAC) and RSGT60 (Up to 660VAC)
  • Three Frame Sizes:
  • 45mm width: Up to 25AAC / 20Hp / 15kW
  • 75mm width:  Up to 55AAC / 50Hp / 37kW
  • 120mm width:  Up to 90AAC / 75Hp / 55kW
  • Easy-to-use set-up and time savings (only 3 adjustments needed)
  • Self-learning algorithm optimizes motor starts in all conditions
  • Best in class current reduction with 3-phase control
  • Energy savings through internal bypass relays
  • Robust design allows up to 12 starts per hour
  • Torque controlled ramp down: smoother deceleration of pumps
  • Real-time monitoring via Modbus RTU communications via RS485
  • Versions up to 400VAC are internally supplied, reducing wiring
  • Dry run detection (suitable for detecting pumps running dry)

The RSGT Series Soft Starters are ideally designed for HVAC, Conveyors, Agriculture, Smart Building, and Water/Wastewater market segments. They are available from Carlo Gavazzi’s network of sales offices and distributors in the Americas, or at www.GavazziOnline.com
