Omron Introduces New MD Autonomous Mobile Robot Series for Medium Payload Applications

Omron expands existing mobile robot portfolio to accommodate paylods of 650 and 900 kilograms, offering enhanced efficiency and a broader range of applications for part and material transport with new MD Series

OMRON Automation Americas, a global leader in industrial automation solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of the MD Series of autonomous mobile robots (AMR). This new series is designed to provide greater efficiency at production sites, expanding OMRON’s line up of autonomous robots to cater to a wider variety of part and material transport applications.

The MD Series continues to feature the “OMRON Fleet Manager” software, which allows for integrated control of up to 100 mobile robots on a single system. This software eliminates the need for multiple fleet management systems and streamlines operations by automatically selecting the optimal mobile robot for each process based on payload and availability.

Key product features:

  • Rugged industrial grade design available in 650kg and 900kg max payloads
  • Industry leading top speed of 2.2 m/sec
  • Easy setup and integration with user production management systems
  • 360° of safety rated sensing across 128 dynamic safety zones with automatic footprint switching
  • Up to 10hrs of operation per charge with ultra-fast 20min charge time (20% to 80%)
