Electromate Announces Pre-Order Availability of Universal Robots’ New UR30 Cobot

Electromate is proud to partner with Universal Robots in bringing the UR30 to Canadian manufacturers

Electromate Inc., a leading Distributor of Precision Robotic & Mechatronic Solutions, is excited to announce the pre-order availability of Universal Robots’ latest innovation – the UR30 collaborative robot (cobot). The UR30, boasting a 30 kg payload capacity, is the newest addition to Universal Robots’ cutting-edge cobot lineup.

Building on the architecture of the award-winning UR20, the UR30’s compact design belies its remarkable capabilities. With superior motion control, it ensures the precise placement of large payloads, operating at higher speeds, and handling heavier loads than ever before. This makes it exceptionally versatile for applications such as machine tending, material handling, and high-torque screw driving.

For machine tending, the UR 30’s high payload introduces new capabilities, like using multiple grippers simultaneously, significantly shortening changeover times, and enhancing productivity. In high torque screw driving applications, particularly in the automotive industry, the UR 30’s steady mode feature delivers straight and consistent performance.

The UR30 is also a perfect match for material handling and palletizing heavy products across various industries. Its small footprint enables it to fit into almost any workspace, alleviating the physical strain on human workers. Weighing only 63.5 kg, the UR 30 can be easily moved between work cells, embodying the agility and modularity essential in modern manufacturing.

Electromate is proud to partner with Universal Robots in bringing the UR30 to Canadian manufacturers. As stated by Warren Osak, CEO and founder of Electromate, “This addition to our product family represents our commitment to providing state-of-the-art automation solutions. The UR30 is a testament to our core purpose of helping manufacturers compete globally with advanced technology.”

The UR30 is available for pre-order now through Electromate and will begin shipping in Q1 2024.
