DC Miniature Circuit Breakers Type P1MD from LOVATO

April 15, 2025

DC Miniature Circuit Breakers Type P1MD

Lovato Electric expands its range of protection devices with the new miniature circuit breakers type P1MD, dedicated to DC applications for systems up to 1000VDC.

P1MD are primarily intended for photovoltaic plants to ensure protection against overloads and short circuits of the cables between the photovoltaic panel strings and the inverter.

In addition to photovoltaic applications, they can also be used for other DC-1 category loads, such as non-inductive or slightly inductive loads.

The range consists of 4 electrical sizes, from 16A to 50 A, with a type B tripping characteristic and a breaking capacity of 5 kA.

The P1MD miniature circuit breakers are suitable for isolation, a feature that allows compliance with the CEI 64-8 standard, the regulatory reference for the design and installation of low-voltage electrical systems. They also meet fire safety requirements for emergency disconnection according to fire brigade regulations.

A range of accessories is available, such as auxiliary contacts, fault intervention signalling contacts, undervoltage trip release, and shunt trip releases.
