Leviton Launches Pro Series Electric Vehicle Charging Stations with AmpUp Charging Management Software

4G connectivity provides advanced capabilities for increased convenience to site owners, fleets, and commercial drivers

Leviton, a leading provider of electric vehicle charging hardware, announced its partnership with AmpUp, the EV charging management company making charging simple. This collaboration aims to redefine the EV charging experience for customers, offering safe, innovative, and efficient charging in one solution.

As part of this new partnership, Leviton announces the release of the new EV Series Pro charging stations, including 48- and 80-Amp level 2 stations available with and without LCD screens. The new stations feature 4G connectivity and the ability to integrate advanced software capabilities. With this added integration of the AmpUp charging management software, site owners and fleets can access real time analytics, set pricing groups and collect revenue, leverage smart scheduling, gain advanced access control/RFID, manage power loads, automate reporting, and more.

The features of the new charging station and software not only benefit site owners and fleets, but the software makes EV charging effortless for drivers as well by providing the ability to locate charging stations, reserve spots, initiate sessions, and more through the AmpUp – EV Charging mobile app.

“The new charging stations provide EV drivers, site owners, and fleets with the ability to charge stress-free,” said Andrew Taddoni, director of product management and business development for electric vehicle charging solutions for Leviton. “By integrating the AmpUp software, businesses and fleets have the ability to efficiently manage multiple charging stations and locations in one easy-to-access platform.”

“Improving the EV charging experience for station owners, EV drivers, and electrical installers is always top priority at AmpUp,” says Tom Sun, CEO at AmpUp. “Partnering with Leviton, a leading manufacturer of EV charging solutions, allows AmpUp to continue our goal of making EV charging simple and reliable. We are proud to support high quality EV charging solutions for Leviton customers to make EV charging easy and accessible, the way it should be.”

Like Leviton’s entire EV charging portfolio, the new stations with AmpUp software are Energy Star Certified and can charge any electric vehicle in North America. Designed with durability in mind, the enclosures are rated NEMA Type 3R, allowing them to be installed both indoors and outdoors.

Earlier this the company also announced the launch of its residential EV Series Charging Stations with My Leviton app compatibility, which allows users to schedule, stop, start and monitoring charging sessions all from the My Leviton app.

As Leviton expands its EV charging portfolio, it demonstrates the company’s continued investment and commitment to sustainability, as the company announced in 2022 its climate change goal to achieve company-wide Carbon Neutrality by 2030 (CN2030) and ambition to achieve NetZero Carbon by 2050.
