Stellar Power & Control Solutions LP. has been selected as a Global Partner and only the second General Motion Control Partner in Canada.

Located in Western Canadian, Stellar Power & Control Solutions is an Electrical Systems Integrator specializing in the design and build of Pump and Motor Control Panels, mainly within Municipalities and Mining and Forestry.

The Siemens Solutions Partnership agreement comes at an exciting time, as Siemens has released their new series low voltage VFD G120X for Fan, Pump, Water and Waste Water applications. The G120X is an instant star, as it completes the power range for Siemens VFD in Canada and enhances the competition for the customer.

Global Motion Control and Motor Market Sees Slight Decline in Q1 2019 vs. Q1 2018

The global motion control and motor market saw a 0.2% decline in shipments in the first quarter of 2019 vs. the same period last year, down to $952.3 million. However, according to the Motion Control & Motor Association, part of the Association for Advancing Automation (A3), shipments were up 0.6% ($6 million) compared to the fourth quarter of 2018.

Leading Canadian forest product company, Chantiers Chibougamau, has selected ABB to help overhaul its Nordic Kraft pulp mill in Lebel-Sur-Quevillion in northern Quebec. The order comprises the delivery and integration of a new drives system and ABB Ability Quality Management System (QMS).
