Grow Your Skilled Workforce with Up To $20,000 in Grants for Hiring First-Year Apprentices

Register today for the Canadian Apprenticeship Service

Register today for the Canadian Apprenticeship Service and receive up to $20,000 in grants for hiring and training first year-apprentices in 39 Red Seal construction and manufacturing trades.

In addition to financial incentives, resources and training are provided to assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retaining an apprentice(s).

The Canadian Apprenticeship Service is administered in partnership with The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum, Aboriginal Apprenticeship Board, Canadian Construction Association, BuildForce, SkillPlan and Apprenticesearch.com.

Program Goal

Support the hiring and training of Level 1 Apprentice in Canada.

Who Can Participate?

Small and medium-sized businesses:

  • Micro (1 to 4 employees)
  • Small (5 to 99 employees)
  • Medium (100 to 499 employees)

Financial Incentives

$5,000 per apprentice per year for a max of two Level 1 apprentices per employer; or

$10,000 per apprentice per year for a max of two Level 1 apprentices if the apprentice identifies as being from an under-represented group.
