Phoenix Contact’s 100 Years Celebration

Phoenix Contact celebrates 100-year anniversary with memorable Open House and 100 Years Celebration in Niagara Falls

Phoenix Contact recently hosted a memorable event for their customers, partners, and staff in Niagara Falls in honour of their 100th anniversary. The celebration kicked off on October 18th at their headquarters in Milton, Ontario, where guests were given a tour of their facility and their latest innovations. This event provided an opportunity for everyone to chat one-on-one with their team and discover exciting insights into the company, their products, and solutions.

Then came Phoenix Contact’s 100 Years Celebration in Niagara Falls, starting with a tour of the Niagara Parks Power Station, followed by a cocktail reception, welcome words, and celebratory toast on October 19th. To cap off the event, guests watched Niagara Falls transform into a multi-coloured water and light masterpiece during the 100 Years Anniversary Toast.

Phoenix Contact’s 100 Years Celebration

The attention to detail that went into these celebrations was incredible. The tour of The Tunnel took attendees 180 feet below the Niagara Falls Power Station in a glass elevator, allowing them to view their descent into the 2,200-foot-long tunnel. Far beneath the ground, guests explored the tunnel as they made their way to an observation deck at the river’s edge.

Although the tunnel was constructed more than 115 years ago, it was only made available to the public in 2022. At the end of the tunnel is a viewing platform, where those who ventured to the end were rewarded with a spectacular view of both the American and the Canadian falls.

Back on top, the Niagara Parks Power Station was filled with immersive exhibits and restored artifacts that told the stories of its construction and operation. Although Phoenix Contact does not have a direct link to the Power Station or the Tunnel at Niagara Falls, there is still a symbolic connection with respect to the power industry. Phoenix was founded at the turn of the century and has been a key partner for sector coupling in the power industry as the world experienced the electrical revolution.

Today, Phoenix Contact’s products connect, distribute, and control power and data flows in many industries. Whether in the field of renewable energies, in infrastructure, or in complex device connections, their solutions are used wherever processes must run automatically.

Phoenix Contact’s 100 Years Celebration

Phoenix Contact is renowned for their passion for technology and innovations, and since 1923, they have connected people and technologies. For example, Hugo Knümann, the company founder, is named on the patent for the invention of the first terminal block, and the company has marked many milestones since. Over the years, Phoenix Contact has grown into a global company.

Phoenix Contact Canada was established in 1983 and is celebrating its 40th anniversary alongside this centennial milestone. Roger Hallett, General Manager of Phoenix Contact Canada, kicked off the welcome words at the reception, thanking everyone for their support to make these successes possible.

As Phoenix Contact celebrates their 100th year anniversary around the world and reflects on their success, they also look forward to continuing their passion for innovation. Kerrwil Media thanks you for inviting us to participate in these celebrations, and we look forward to Phoenix’s innovations and continued passion for innovation and technology. Congratulations on this incredible milestone. Your contributions over the years and deeply appreciated, and we wish you all the best in the years to come.
