On July 9th, EFC members from across Canada gathered for a virtual event presented by EFC’s Gurvinder Chopra, VP of Standards and Regulations, together with CIO Strategy Council’s Keith Jansa, Executive Director and Michel F. Girard, CIGI Senior Fellow.

Members gained insight on various initiatives that would contribute to developing standards through CIOS-SC, and would support the advancement of Canada’s ICT ecosystem.

Newly introduced, the EFC Advisory Committee on the Internet of Things (EACIT) for member manufacturers and distributors, is structured to form critical task groups on Industry 4.0 and cybersecurity. For more details, contact gchopra@electrofed.com.

*IMPORTANT NOTICE: The President of United States has issued an Executive Order titled ‘Securing the United States Bulk Power system’ which would require Cybersecurity measures taken to safeguard the systems and supply chains. Electro-Federation Canada is following up with Federal Government and closely monitoring this situation and will provide updates to the Cybersecurity Committee, as it develops.
