Engineers can use the new Allen-Bradley 140MP Motor Protection Circuit Breakers from Rockwell Automation to simplify motor protection. The circuit breakers, also known as motor-protective switching devices, can be mounted on Allen-Bradley 100-C or 100-K contactors to create a two-component motor starter.

The PowerXL DE1 variable speed starter is a product that bridges the gap between a standard electromechanical starter and a variable frequency drive. With industry-leading ease-of-use and a narrow, compact housing, the DE1 is designed to be used in flexible applications with value propositions unique to each application.

B&R's new digital output module X20DO4332-1 has integrated pulse width modulation and is a cost-effective alternative to motor modules. In addition, the module offers a dither function that prevents valves from sticking. Pulse width modulation (PWM) is mainly used for controlling larger loads, such as motors. Instead of using electronics to regulate a continuous input voltage down to the desired motor voltage, the motor is controlled by the width of the switching pulses.

Integrated intelligent components and device-level networks provides superior performance to enhance any process or production method. Factory wiring, popular network protocols including industrial Ethernet, and extensive testing and documentation make your iMCC installation simple. Whether your application calls for hard-wired I/O or a network solution, Schneider Electric Model 6 iMCC's deliver the intelligent and integrated package while reducing acquisition, installation, and commissioning costs.

New compact soft starters and micro VFD drives have been added to the AutomationDirect motor controls lineup which encompasses simple manual controllers, motor contactors and starters, drives and soft starters. WEG SSW05 and SSW07 soft starters are compact, fully digital soft starters with state-of-the-art DSP (Digital Signal Processor) controller designed to provide great performance on motor starts and stops.

The Enclosed Drive Panel is an industrial general purpose AC motor control and protection package. It is designed for simple and quick installation and start-up, requiring only input power and output motor connections. The Enclosed Drive Panel is built to complement the ruggedness and reliability of WEG electric motors, providing a complete, simple, and cost effective AC motor control, monitor and protection solution.

VFD-SC series VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) / Servo cable offers 4 conductors, available in 16 AWG to 10 AWG gauges, plus a foil-shielded signal pair. The VFD-SC series is the same high-quality cable as the standard VFD-C series; the addition of the shielded 16AWG signal pair allows the cable to be used with motors and drives requiring brake control or feedback from devices like temperature or position sensors.

WEG SSW-06 series soft-starters are micro-processor controlled and designed to start and stop induction motors. Excellent acceleration and deceleration control is achieved with an optimized cost to benefit ratio.

Size matters, and in the world of industrial automation, providing exceptional performance in a highly compact package can be an enormous advantage. With this in mind, encoder manufacturer POSITAL has unveiled a fully functional prototype of their new miniature multi-turn kit encoder for integrated motor feedback. With a diameter of only 22 mm and a height of 23 mm (0.87”/0.9”), the new device is the world’s smallest multi-turn kit.

The DriveWizard Industrial support tool is a Windows-based PC program designed to make commissioning and troubleshooting of Yaskawa drives as simple as possible. DriveWizard Industrial provides user-friendly tools for viewing, manipulating, and exchanging data with the drive. Data can be retrieved, changed, stored, and graphed.
