B&R has developed a virtual sensor for its ACOPOS P3 servo drive: the Safe Speed Observer. It determines speed in accordance with SIL 2 / PL d / CAT 3 requirements, reducing the cost of implementing the Safely Limited Speed safety function by eliminating the need for a safe encoder.

Bihl+Wiedemann offers with the speed monitors an effective method for safe processing of signals from sensors and encoders, enabling for example a safety reduced speed for setup operations. Each speed monitor can be incorporated into the control feedback circuit using adapters and cables already available, without affecting the actual control process.

B&R's Smart Camera and Smart Sensor are now available with a C mount. This greatly expands the range of possible applications for the vision system. Along with the new cameras, B&R is introducing five C-mount lenses that cover a wide range of focal lengths from 12 to 50 mm. The lenses are specially optimized for the image sensors used to achieve maximum resolution and high detail contrast.

With ctrlX SAFETY, Bosch Rexroth introduces a novelty to the automation market: the most responsive and compact safety solution of its kind. The scalable system can be used as required – from the drive-integrated SafeMotion solution in ctrlX DRIVE to the complete ctrlX SAFETY control. In addition to the flexible use, the advantages include a very high level of safety thanks to the fastest reaction times and efficient engineering through graphical programming of the safety PLC.

The B&R ACOPOS P3 servo drive is now also available with safety function Safely Limited Torque (SLT). This makes B&R one of the first manufacturers to offer this certified safety function. Safely Limited Torque safely monitors torque up to SIL 2 / PL d.

Eaton XT series self-powered electronic overload relays are self-contained units available at up to 175A. Eaton XT electronic overload relays are the most compact, high-featured, economical products in class, offering additional trip classes, universal connections to any contactor, and a wide amperage range. Accessory 24VDC and 120 VAC remote reset modules provide remote overload reset capability.

Balluff’s newest precision laser sensors guarantee precise positioning of small parts, as well as dark, transparent or complex-shaped objects.

Non-contact EchoPod and EchoTouch reflective ultrasonic liquid level sensors feature Flowline’s proprietary Reflective Technology that delivers reliable level measurement in condensing environments.

Switching point, switching window, filter, sonic  beam width, output logic: when a new sensor is installed in a machine, a variety of parameters must be adjusted to the application. The parameter server function via the IO-Link interface is the solution for parameter exchange within seconds. This ensures maximum system availability.

MENNEKES' new CDS Series is the industry’s first non-metallic, curved-top disconnect switch. This clean, innovative design features a curved profile to eliminate standing water and minimize contaminant buildup in food processing and other cleanroom operating environments.
