AutomationDirect has added economical PSV series power supplies and universal battery control modules to the RHINO DC power supplies lineup. RHINO PSV "Value" series DIN rail power supplies are available in a wide selection of voltage and wattage ranges. 5V RHINO DC supplies are available in 15 and 25-watt ratings with 12V supplies at 48W. 24V DC supplies are available in 30, 50, 100, 120, 240 and 480W; and 48V supplies are rated up to 120W.

15 to 100W models, in ultra-compact plastic housings, have an efficiency rating of up to 89.0%, a full power operating temperature range from -10°C to +55°C and are NEC Class 2 / Limited Power Source (LPS) certified.

120 to 480W RHINO power supplies have a metal housing, provide full power from -10°C to +50°C and efficiencies up to 88.0%. These models have a built-in constant current circuit for reactive loads.

Starting at $32.00, RHINO PSV series DC power supplies are UL/cUL recognized, CE approved and have a three-year warranty.

Also added are universal battery control modules (starting at $30.00) that provide uninterruptible 24VDC bus voltage and offer battery protection for over voltage, deep discharge, short circuit and reverse connection. Alarm outputs indicate input, output and battery conditions.

Having a workforce that’s well trained on current technologies and equipment is critical for any manufacturer. When workers lack necessary skill sets, they are more likely to make expensive mistakes that result in costly downtime. Without proper training, employees are also less productive and have lower job satisfaction. They often feel as though they aren’t moving forward in their career and get discouraged. In addition, the correlation between well-trained workers and a safer manufacturing environment shouldn’t be overlooked.

Clearly, the importance of industrial training must be a key consideration for employers. Unfortunately, developing a workforce with necessary knowledge isn’t always easy. A variety of factors are creating a serious skills gap, and many companies are struggling to find ways to address the challenges.
